Samsung shipping new phones with Broadcom chips
SAN FRANCISCO (Reuters) - Wireless chipmaker Broadcom Corp said on Sunday that number-two cell phone maker Samsung Electronics Co Ltd was shipping next-generation handsets that use its chips to cellular operators.
The 3G phones, which can surf the Web and download data from the Internet faster than previous generations of phones, are on their way to operators in Europe, Asia, Africa, Australia and elsewhere, Broadcom said.
Number-one cell phone maker Nokia has said it would buy phone chips from STMicroelectronics, Broadcom and Infineon, potentially decreasing the clout of market leaders Qualcomm Inc and Texas Instruments Inc, Nokia's long-time supplier.

Important note this model doesnt have WLAN or camera and it TriBand. Looking at its features it doesn't really seem like much of a competition for the iphone. not only on features but in my opinion even the iphone looks is much better than this Samsung Bang & Olufsen model. But the positive thing about this model is its Unlocked . There maybe more features released also depending on the price of the model and what individual users are looking for this model may meet a lot of people expectations. Personally i need WLAN & a Camera plus i need my phones to be QuadBand so i can take them with me specially if i'm paying over $300 for a phone.
